Baptism = Beginning of a New Life

So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving?
I should hope not! If we've left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there?
Or didn't you realize we packed up and left there for good?
That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace----a new life in a new land!
That's what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we're going in our new grace-sovereign country.
Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the Cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life--no longer at sin's every beck and call!
What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. ..........Romans 6...read the rest of the story!!!

THERE IS NO GOSPEL--"GOOD NEWS"--without the DEATH, BURIAL, RESURRECTION in BAPTISM!!

Faith - It is The Only Way

I believe the justified will live by faith. Romans 1:17 says
NKJ – For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
New Century Version – The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself-that it begins and ends with faith.
Message – God’s way of putting people right shows up in acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along; “The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives.
The Good News effect, Justification, progressive Sanctification, whatever you call it happens only by faith in God. I am incapable of doing anything to advance my own Righteousness or Salvation. Through faith in God I am justified and saved. From Faith to Faith means faith is at the beginning of the salvation process, and it is the goal as well. When a person first exercises faith in Christ, he is saved from the penalty of sin and declared righteous. As the believer lives by faith, God continues to save him or her from the power of sin to live righteously. Moving into a position of right standing with God only happens when we trust him.

I Believe He will come again!

I believe those who have believed in Him, repented of their sins, been baptized in His name to wash away those sins and filled with His Spirit will be caught up to meet Him when He returns.

Concern

I am concerned that sometimes we / I want God's will more than God.

I Believe . . .

I Believe that Jesus did not save us to make us safe.

I Believe that Jesus is the perfect combination of Truth and Grace.

I Believe in God

I believe in God and those who seek Him diligently will be rewarded.
I believe He created humankind knowing we would not always make the right choices, therefore He provided Himself as the solution for our fallen nature. Because of the sacrifice Jesus made to redeem us from our sin and the consequence of our sins, we can recieve the Gift of His Spirit dwelling with in us.
